Terrarium Health Check Guidelines
Moisture Control and Condensation Monitoring: Persistent condensation with large water droplets indicates excess moisture. Open the terrarium, wipe the glass, and close it. Reassess after 2-3 days, and repeat if the issue persists.
Light Management: Provide 6-8 hours of bright, indirect light or use artificial lighting as needed. Grow lights are an effective alternative. Yellowing leaves may indicate inadequate lighting levels.
Temperature Regulation: Maintain a stable temperature between 18-24°C, ensuring the terrarium is protected from extreme heat or cold.
Mold Prevention: Mold is challenging to eliminate as it spreads via spores. Increase airflow by opening the terrarium to reduce humidity, and treat affected areas with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution if necessary.
Ecosystem Stability: Limit opening the terrarium frequently, as it disturbs the internal ecosystem and increases the risk of mold growth.
